Couples Therapy

Maintaining a long-term relationship can be a series of trials and tribulations. It can also be smooth as silk until a crisis occurs.

Crises can be relentless, some of us are drawn to drama, or they can come totally out of blue.

Loss of desire, extra-affairs, financial issues, addictions, children and illness can all take their toll on how we get along and sadly most couples only present for therapy when the crisis feels as though it has become seriously unmanageable.

Owning the need for external help is a big step to take.

There is a lot of help available for relationships. Many tools, different models of communication, ways to reclaim your sex life, dialogue options, anger management strategies, tools for rebuilding trust.

A relationship needs care and attention and couples therapy is a good way to learn to change habits and do things differently.

I am Carolyn Cowan, a Psychosexual & Relationship Therapist who is also a sex addiction therapist and a member of COSRT & ATSAC.
