Carolyn Cowan

Psycho-sexual & Relationship Therapist

My name is Carolyn Cowan. I was born in Chelsea in 1960. This seems relevant because it frames my open-minded and creative approach to my work as a psycho-sexual and relationship therapist.

My areas of interest, work and specialisation include, in no particular order, sex therapy, couples and relationship work, trauma both past and current, addiction in all its forms, anxiety in all its forms, and pre and post natal issues.

I am what is referred to as an embodied therapist; I am interested in the effects of the mind upon the body and vice versa.

When not a therapist I am a Kundalini yoga teacher and teacher trainer in the lineage of Yogi Bhajan.

I also run workshops that create bridges between contemporary therapeutic thought, current science, esoteric technology, yoga and the vagus nerve.

So my work is in three forms: talking, teaching and workshops.

As a therapist I work in person, my practice is in Flood Street, Chelsea, SW3.

I can also work with you online using VOIP.  I teach Kundalini yoga classes at triyoga in Chelsea or Camden and run workshops for them.

And I run workshops through my personal website carolyncowan.com on subjects including Shame, Addiction Recovery, the Female Arousal Cycle, Altered States: the breath, anxiety or pranayam, The Mother’s Journey, etc. in the UK and abroad.
